What is Phantom Galaxies?

Phantom Galaxies is a play-and-own title from developer and publisher Blowfish Studios, with a mission above all else to deliver an enthralling gaming experience. Embracing the benefits of blockchain integration is a critical element of their strategy to craft that player experience.

Phantom Galaxies is first and foremost a mecha-shooter space adventure, the AAA ambition and quality of the project feeding its earning capacity. The developers aim to deliver an experience that succeeds in its own right as an expansive, engaging and, above all, fun game – and with this endeavour comes substantial earnings potential.

How do you earn in Phantom Galaxies?

1. Planet NFTs with token emissions:

Planet NFTs combine elements of utility and governance fungible token, ASTRAFER, and more. Players are able to purchase, own and trade Planets. These will have designated coordinates within the Phantom Galaxies universe, as well as randomised traits that will make each individual Planet unique.

Planet owners will be able to earn ASTRAFER based on the size of their Planet, playing the game and in-game factors, and increase this emission up to a set maximum. This increased emission rate will be dependent on factors such as visitors to the Planet, development through construction of buildings, and the Planet holder’s completion of in-game missions.

2. Other ways to earn ASTRAFER in-game:

As Phantom Galaxies development continues, players will earn ASTRAFER through a range of in-game activities such as Story Content and Operations, and ASTRAFER will become a vital aspect of the core game loop.

The tokens’ extensive in-game utility will include utilising in-game for gear crafting and upgrading, upgrading Starfighters through fusion, Planet exploration and development, staking for governance, and purchase of a range of Phantom Galaxies NFTs.

3. Community participation

Members of the Phantom Galaxies communities have been rewarded with tokens throughout the Alpha, including airdrops of the Origin Collection NFTs to the project’s earliest supporters. A range of Accolades have been given, such as the Zorran’s Favour NFT awarded for exceptional community engagement (which gives access to a cohort of the Closed Development Beta), and the Astrafite Rush Trophy for event participation. 

Players launched into the Phantom Galaxies Alpha throughout 2022, and the developers are taking a wealth of feedback and data into a Closed Development Beta in Q2 2023. A core component of Alpha testing was the Astrafite Rush event, in which players raced to defeat pirate hordes and mine precious ore, to earn ASTRAFER in-game for the first time. This event has provided invaluable insight into the earnings process, and future earnings opportunities will have the benefit of this robust testing process.
