SARAH, web3earner: Welcome back to web3earner’s interview series where we talk to the teams behind your favourite web3 earning projects. My name is Sarah and I’m delighted to be hosting Zoe from Summoners Arena today.
In today’s interview, Zoe will give us a brief look into the world of Summoners Arena, their vision for the future and how you can start playing and earning today.
How are you today Zoe?
ZOE, Summoners Arena: Thanks Sarah for having me, I’m doing great. How about you?
SARAH, web3earner: Very well thank you.
SARAH, web3earner: Can you start with giving us a brief rundown as to what Summoners Arena actually is?
ZOE, Summoners Arena: For sure, so Summoners Arena Idol RPG, was launched in May last year with the support from well-known crypto VC in the space, including Ontario Capital, Coinbay Venture etc. We rank top two in Southeast Asia and of 16 worldwide.
So Summoners Arena in the Idol RPG is a franchise flagship, where we allow players to collect, upgrade, evolve heroes, forge items to compete in various game modes.
Beyond Summoners Arena, we are also working on SA World, a gaming ecosystem that consists of games infrastructure applications, that are interconnected and operated under an order centring around $SAE, our governance token. SA will slowly be introduced within this year.
SARAH, web3earner: Beautiful, great explanation.
SARAH, web3earner: Can you tell us how people can earn with Summoners Arena?
ZOE, Summoners Arena: Users can start playing the game without any NFT requirements. However if they wish to start earning, they need at least five NFT Heroes. But the good news is that we are working on another feature called free Arena, where we allow free-to-play users to start earning some as well and that is for the short-term plan.
So in the mid and long term, after we completely launch SA World, there will be many other ways for the users to earn. So for the NFT holders, they will be playing a key role in our SA World. They will be the only users that can produce some specific resources that will sold to the other player. However, all kinds of contributors, including NFT holders or non-NFT holders will be rewarded accordingly. For play-for-fun users, if they contribute their time or other resources to SA
World we will reward them as well. More details about this mechanism will be released in the future.
SARAH, web3earner: Amazing sounds like a sustainable and great model.
SARAH, web3earner: What’s Summoners Arena working on that will bring more value or create new opportunities for people earning on web3?
ZOE, Summoners Arena: So for us, we have only one game and focus on a play-to-earn model, and I think that is not going to be sustainable. So that’s the reason why we are working on a bigger picture.
We are creating a gaming ecosystem called SA World. So if we successfully launched SA World following the model that we are planning to apply, I think we will be providing a more sustainable gaming economy for people who earn on web3.
So in the traditional gaming industry, the game publishers are the ones who produce the in-game resources to Gamers and make money from them. So in SA World, we actually transfer those rights to the NFT holder and they will be the only one who produces some specific resources for the rest of the gamers that are playing games in SA World.
So from our side we will be creating more fun games to attract more foreign users to maintain the balance of players. So that we can have a more sustainable model.
SARAH, web3earner: Yeah beautiful. It’s a very exciting stuff and we we can’t wait to see how SA World unfolds.
Thank you so much for joining me today Zoe, it’s been a pleasure. We’re very excited for the future of Summoners Arena and everything you guys have planned.
And thank you everyone that has joined in, we will see you all next time!
ZOE, Summoners Arena: Yeah see you everyone, thank you, thanks Sarah.
